What is your favorite quote?

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

I have been a pretty avid runner most of my life – I love to get outdoors and explore the sights, smells and sounds of nature. If I’m not outside, I’m curled up watching a movie favorite with tea or wine (depends on the time and the movie); film takes me away!

If you were to look back from the age of 80 and tell yourself anything what would it be?

Take more risks! Life is full of opportunities if you are open.

What’s one fact about your education or upbringing that few people know?

I started my career as an Epidemiologist who specialized in immunizations. Here I was able to lead a project that was the first public/ private collaborative in the County where we developed a realtime registry for medical records for doctors and nurses to see if children were up to date on their shots. I also helped write the legislation on for the confidentiality of medical records in the state of CA.

What are two things on your bucket list?

1. Travel, Travel, Travel to parts unknown – Machu Pichu, Tibet, Thailand, Bali, Fiji, New Zealand – you name it, I’m sure it’s on there somewhere.

2. Create a compound us, family and super close friends where we can all retire together (or at least be a great respite for a few months at a time) – Have outdoor setting for permanent games or activities and a common area where you cook, eat, just gather together.
